World Ovarian Cancer Day 2024 – Gardening & Nature against Cancer
Mark your calendars for World Ovarian Cancer Day on May 5th! Our biggest event of the year, World Ovarian Cancer Day, is around the corner again! This year’s theme is “Nature and Gardening against Cancer.” This inspiring initiative emphasizes the healing power of nature and gardening activities. May will kick off with a parade advocating politically appropriate measures: “Creative therapies should be covered by insurance!” Because not only gardening, but many creative and sports therapies strengthen resilience and the body. They are not just nice additions, but essential for successful cancer treatment. Whether it’s yoga or creative writing, gardening or forest therapies, making music, dancing, or painting, consciously experienced and professionally guided creative therapies significantly support the best possible management of illness.
So mark your calendars for the big parade on May 5th at Bebelplatz in Berlin, 2 p.m.! Following the parade for World Ovarian Cancer Day, we offer exactly what we demand: creative therapies to raise awareness and provide insights into the healing power and added values of these possibilities to the public. Outdoor yoga, breathing exercises, flower arranging, and much more make the day a holistic experience for patients, families, and friends. These activities with a focus on nature and gardening become symbols of growth, joy of life, and hope. Everything that contributes to better coping with cancer.
Last but not least, our Online Awareness Week follows the big action day, where daily lectures by experts and affected individuals will be broadcasted through our online channels, aiming to strengthen education, research, and destigmatization of the disease every year.
